Service was heel goed. The place is located not far from the entrance of the park ( 15 min walking distance ) and our host Dairo made sure that we were not missing anything during our stay. The food was very good, credit to Veronica. The view surrounding the site is incredible and you connect with nature very fast. bea bossard2025-04-21Trustindex verifica que la fuente original de la reseña sea Google. During the stay I met a beloved puppy name Chocolate, who roams around the area during the day. He is super sweet and made my trip 10 times better!!!! I hope to return one day and hopefully see Chocolate all grown up. Nos vemos Yachay❤️
BUENO A base de 48 reseñas Getaway050371949282025-03-02Verificada A delightful and comfortable stay From a service perspective, I give 10 out of 10: to Dilo, the super Cavallero who manages the dining room-bar, helps in the kitchen and at the reception desk when needed. English speaking guests can rely on him. The receptionist (whose name I'm sorry I don't remember) was very patient and quick to react when we had an emergency. The bellboys-gardeners and maids all provided excellent service, were responsive and friendly. I do think however that additional staff would be helpful to alleviate their heavy workload and long working hours. The property is very clean and comfortable. However, given it's structure on the mountain side it is defnitely not accessible to wheelchairs nor walkers. If you walk with a cane, take a long, deep breath and prepared for countless stairs of uneven heights and uneven surfaces... or look for a location more adapted to your needs. Menu is limited if you're vegetarian but everthing is extremely fresh. Fruits are amazing! - Literie beaucoup trop dure. - Piscine inexistante. - Plages à 40 mn de marche - Service très lent, Points positifs : - personnel d’accueil agréable - Environnement sauvage et préservé MDUK2023-06-14Verificada Restaurant only All a bit disjointed and disappointing. Very slow service, long wait for food, the food was OK, but not great. Which was a shame because the place looked really nice and I expected to want to come back. Unfortunately I won't. Our waiter seemed very inexperienced and it is down to management to support them and make sure they are trained properly to be able to do the job and give visitors a good experience. You are charging higher prices, you need to provide a higher level of service. Pierre v.2023-02-22Verificada Good location, clean rooms, incompetent service We (group of 9) stayed for 2 nights in Yachay hotel and we all found the accommodation clean and relaxing: nature all around. The food is made on the spot, which can take a while (~1h). It tastes overall okay. Service is either understaffed or incompetent, which led to many forgotten orders, and we had the unpleasant surprise to find out they charged for them at the end of our stay anyway. The bill was unbelievably high, and the group before told us the same happened to them. The staff somewhat acknowledged the mistake and came to an agreement. *One advice: keep track on your own.* katec0x2022-07-31Verificada Beautiful property but some things to note We had an enjoyable stay at the property. The pros are the picturesque location/property, the very friendly staff and the yummy yummy food! Some callouts: the rooms don’t get freshened up daily - I understand the driver of this is to reduce footprint, but after days at the beach, sand and lots of water bottles, it would be been nice to get a tidy up. The second would be the speed of breakfast- each meal took over an hour from start to finish which is more acceptable in the evenings, but the mornings caused us to start our hikes late. Lastly, there is no shuttle service further into the park from the hotel and although buses may pass and have empty seats it was rare- this led to 50 minute walks from the hotel to the park entrance (plus 2-3 hours into the park to get to swimmable beaches). Beautiful hikes but I wish this was more known prior. Kaleb D2022-02-20Verificada Absolutely Terrible Let me start by saying this was the worst hotel stay we’ve had in Colombia! DO NOT STAY HERE! We showed up at 12:30pm for check-in, our room was not ready. We ended up waiting for 2.5 hours for the room. We weren’t even offered a complementary bottle of water while we waited in the heat, sweaty and tired from travelling. Once we finally got to the room it was not as advertised. The room we rented was a jr suite. In the photos posted on line it had a sofa, nightstands, and generally looked inviting. The room we got had none of this, there was one SMALL table in the corner of the room, and nowhere to sit. Further more there wasn’t proper window coverings, people could literally look in out windows and see us clearly as the only window covering was an extremely sheer piece of fabric. The beds are hard as a rock and must be the cheapest mattress that the owners could purchase. To add to the discomfort the pillows were equally cheap and hard as well. When we got to the room we wanted to shower but there wasn’t any water. This was an ongoing issue. Finally that night we had enough water to shower, however the next morning there was no water again! And with roughly 40 people in the hotel and no functioning toilets…..! Once when my wife asked for the water to be turned on so we could shower she was given a VERY rude looks and dismissive response from the OWNER! Now on to the food. The included breakfast was bland, it came with DRY toast. When I asked for butter or jam, I was informed the hotel didn’t have any of either! The bread for the toast was the cheapest bread one could buy. For dinner we waited for 1:45 for our food after ordering. Now this wasn’t the fault of the staff. There was only 1 server for over 40 people and he was required to mix the cocktails, take the orders and bring the food out. Also the kitchen only had 2 people working in it to prepare food for over 40 people. As for Managment/Owners, they sat at a table and were very rude to the only server they had while they took up a table as guests sat and waited on the sofa for a table to free up. For one dinner we asked for a side of guacamole and the owner would allow them to prepare it unless we ordered an additional dish that came with guacamole! Furthermore we ordered a side dish of fruit and they drastically over charged us for it. The general maintenance of the hotel is terrible. There were rotten railings that haven’t been addressed for years, creating a very serious safety issue. It was extremely clear to all the guests present that ownership wasn’t interested in spending money on their guests experience or comfort. Owners we’re present several occasions we were in the restaurant and not once did they even acknowledge the guests. Having travelled extensively throughout Colombia on 3 separate occasions, this was the worst managed/owned hotel I have encountered. The only good was our server Renzo was awesome. He literally ran off his feet to ensure guests were served to the best of his ability. And Susana at the front desk was as helpful as possible. It was blatantly clear that they weren’t able to do more for the guests comfort and pleasure cause they’re hands were tied. The overall arrogance and disregard for guests by the owners who were present was shocking! And the way they spoke/treated their staff was embarrassing. I genuinely feel sorry for the employees as they were in a high stress environment with ZERO assistance from the management/ownership! ccabrich2022-01-04Verificada Great hotel to explore the Tayrona National Park I highly recommend Yachay Hotel to those that want to explore the Tayrona National park but still want some comfort (i.e.: no hammock or camping). The owners of the hotel are great, nice, welcoming, and attentive. Even before arriving they were engaging with me through WhatsApp and answering all my questions. They helped us book airport transportation and horse riding adventures (a little bit more expensive than if you do it with the companies that operate at the park, but Yachay works with a lady that treats her horses well). The food is great and the service is top-notch. The burger is to die for, but so are all their dishes! I went with my wife and 4 kids and we all loved our time there! Thaks Yachay family
